K. William Wiseman
K. William Wiseman is a former chairman of the HSUS Board of Directors. He was recruited to the board in 1973 by former HSUS president John Hoyt. In 1987, he was elected chairman, serving in that capacity until 1994. He retired from the board in 2004.
In addition, he donated 300 acres of property on Shin Pond in Maine, which is now held by the HSUS Wildlife Land Trust.
Wiseman has previously served as the director of the World Society for the Protection of Animals, the president of the Center for the Arts at the Chocolate Church (in Bath, Maine), and was also the general manger of the Producing Division at Mobil Oil Corp.
