Mary I. Max

Mary Max is a member of HSUS's Board. She is also the founder and executive director of Kind Green Planet, a vegan advocacy group. She sits on the advisory council for the vegan advocacy group Farm Sanctuary and sits on the boards of Humane USA-PAC, The New York Coalition for Healthy School Food, and The Community Fund for Manhattan. Max and her husband are listed as VIPs at 2007 Gala for the animal rights group PCRM. In 2008, Max stated in an interview with the Greepoint Gazette:

Stop eating animals, it’s the number one thing. If that sounds too enormous, use basic common sense, remove one animal from your diet for a month. If you’re feeling good and positive, remove another animal next month.
