Patrick McDonnell is a member of HSUS's Board of Directors. McDonnell donated tens of thousands of dollars to HSUS's "Proposition 2" front group. He is the creator of the comic strip "MUTTS," which has won awards from The Ark Trust (now HSUS Hollywood), PETA, and the Sierra Club. In 2010 he served on the Honorary Committee at a gala of the animal rights group Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM) and has been listed as a PCRM supporter.
