Stephanie Shain
Stephanie Shain served as the senior director of HSUS's Stop Puppy Mills Campaign until 2010. Before that, she was HSUS's director of outreach for companion animals. Shain plays a visible media role, having appeared on The Today Show and CNN to speak against pet stores.
From 1995-2000, Shain was a program manager and lobbyist for the American Anti-Vivisection Society. She has an undergraduate degree in biology from Delaware Valley College of Science and Agriculture. She is now the Chief Operating Officer of the Washington (D.C.) Humane Society.
