- PetFood Industry writer on Humane Choice dog food: "I find it ironic that under the HSUS umbrella of 'confronting animal cruelty' lies some of the foundations—agriculture and farming—the pet food industry is built on."
- HSUS North Carolina Director says limits on dog breeders are just the first "baby steps"
- Kansas City Star: As the resistance to HSUS's agenda grows, the fight is getting ugly

It’s something that is occurring across the country. In some places it’s even been put on ballot measures to make it fully legal. That’s extremely dangerous and really something to which we ought to be paying attention.
Rhode Island is the only state—so far—where “guardian” is the legal language instead of “owner.” I agree with Wynfield, “guardian” is a huge red flag and it doesn’t make me want to donate to this pound.
Your link for “•HSUS North Carolina Director says limits on dog breeders . . . .” does not work.
The founders of NFHS were people from local and national humane organizations with a vision for a powerful industry federation to represent the broader interests of the humane movement. The Initial Board Members of NFHS were Victoria Wellens, President, Nicholas Gilman, Secretary, Dori Villalon, Treasurer and Wayne Pacelle. NFHS is not an affiliate of nor related in any way to any other organization, national or otherwise.
“Guardians” is being used in several cities and the “movement” is to push that for EVERYONE…...I assume they will call the folks PPS (Pet Protection Services) instead of CPS when they come in to seize your pet!! But they will have more opportunity to do it if they aren’t considered “PROPERTY”.......
Wish we could get a group to go to DC and look at those posters 1st hand <G>!!!
Perhaps we should get signs made up from this website and join the Tea Partiers that are going on April 15 and march!!
Sprinkle in a few ANIMAL RIGHTS MEANS NO ANIMALS LEFT signs to go with it…....and some of the posters from HumaneWatch TOO <G>!!!!

The Washington Animal Rescue League does look like an absolutely wonderful place. However, there is one GIANT RED FLAG…they refer to dog and cat owners as “guardians”. That is a major animal rights ploy to remove the designation of animals as property and move them into some other realm.
