Humane Bites #36: Slicing and Dicing (Egg Videos)
Daily clippings culled from all over the electronic news world. (E-mail me with submissions for tomorrow.)
-
HSUS Pushes the limits of its video-splicing software, showing barely two minutes of heavily spliced egg-farm footage...
- ...and as if on cue, today's Des Moines Register has a wonderful column about the myths surrounding "cage free" egg production
-
HSUS goes all the way to Florida to lobby, and comes away without a solution to that thorny "Gator Nation" problem
- Ohio HSUS director calls livestock board "an unelected board with the power to create rules everyone must follow" (as opposed to HSUS, which is ...?)
- Here's the latest on "4-H-gate"

or maybe, she was a real supervisor who was conducting a discussion about safe handling practices and informing new employees just how badly things can wrong when a problem happens- and how to stay on top of to to make sure it doesn’t spread or happen again.
the largest, worst outbreaks of e coli and salmonella have come from vegetable products- not meat.
problems happen. it what is done to resolve them I am interested in. as usual, they carefully edit the context of any comment.

I suppose that will be a [tough] lesson to farm supervisors to NOT tell strangers all about about pulling thousands of dead chickens out of their facilities…. HSUS likes to go undercover, folks. I can’t believe the supervisor was just spewing forth ammunition for the AR people. (Or, was she a real supervisor???)
