Humane Bites #65: HSUS is not “lovin’ it”
Daily clippings culled from all over the electronic news world. (E-mail me with submissions for tomorrow.)
- HSUS is up to PETA’s old tricks again at a certain fast-food company's shareholder meeting
- How many politicians have to make demands before Wisconsin's Department of Natural Resources ends its relationship with HSUS?
- HSUS Illinois State director fails in defending HSUS against a letter writer’s “name confusion” charge (and the comments are worth browsing)
- Texas cattlemen defend agriculture from HSUS's charges
- Your Daily Shelter: Houston’s Friends for Life Animal Shelter & Sanctuary (Donate. Volunteer. Adopt.)

Yes its good to be quiet when working cattle, but certain breeds when they get confined in smaller places like holding pens, loading chutes, you have to get a little aggressive to get them loaded and moved up a chute. Otherwise they will turn back on you and run over you.
I know some people have more of the crossbreeds that are more gentle, but certain type cattle like the spanish cross are hardy in the hot humid weather climates. If you cross with the english cattle they can survive the summers where straight english breeds suffer.
The spanish breeds are from the first cattle that touched down in America, are known as spanish scrub by the natives. They are not the friendlist cattle to work and have an attitude.
Cow whispering just does not work with these type cattle as they will hang around and try and hook you off the fence instead of moving up the loading chutes or whereever in the pens you are trying to move them.
oh come on Roan.. don;t you know if you speak nicely and pet them they will do whatever you want.. even roll over and let you “scratch their tummies”
This is what HSUS and other animal rights groups think about livestock.. YOU are the one who knows.. not them. Thanks for your post…
@Dog Lover
I have been saying for a long time, they want them in SHOWCOAT with the assumption they will be abused when the coat is blown!
@bestuvall
AWWWWWWWW those that are altered will roll over for you to scratch without even the sweet talk, dontcha know?

Boy - this is a great quote from
Jordan Matyas, Chicago, Illinois state director for The Humane Society of the United States:
“Our primary goal is to prevent cruelty to animals before it happens and prevent animals from ending up in distress.”
So this is why they seize healthy animals! If no one has the animals then they can’t be cruelly treated! So what law does this fall under? THEFT!
When are the public, legislators, and law enforcement going to wake up to HSUS’s agenda??
Are we going to have to wait until all the animals are gone?
