Made my day!  GREAT ad!

EXCELLENT!!  Need .pdf for printing our own flyers to post around.

I bet the three dogs in the add are glad they didn’t end up in a shelter where they probably wouldn’t of had a chance to be adopted no thanks to H$U$!  I bet Wayne wouldn’t even adopt one of those robotic dogs found at local toy stores, when there are no more live pets he will want them outlawed also.  Keep the great adds coming David, you guys are doing a great job with them and enlightening people to the truth.

Finally the truth reaches the masses.  Thank you from the millions of animals who deserve to be heard how their donations are robbed!

you guys are fabulous!!!

Where I come from, the Humane Society IS our local pet shelter.

Posted by vernieb on 04/01 at 12:09 PM

At vernieb -

Same here, I am actually employed by our local Humane Society.  However, actual pet shelters are NOT affiliated with HSUS, their name is, I suspect, deliberately misleading.  Local Humane Societies are pet shelters.  HSUS is a self-serving lobbying giant.  No connection (well, maybe a less than 1 percent connection, lol)

Posted by Katie on 04/01 at 12:16 PM

vernieb, that is because it was a local Humane Society with no affiliation to HSUS.  This site is geared at the Humane Society of the United States…not your local pet shelter.

See, the post by ‘vernieb’ is exactly why we need to get rid of HSUS.  People are completely confused by the deliberately misleading name.

Vernieb, your local ‘Humane Society’ and ‘The Humane Society of the United States’ are NOT the same thing.  They are apples and oranges.  One is a local shelter that desperately needs your help, the other is an animal rights front group that is trying to do away with your rights to have a pet, among other things.

VERNIEB, WHERE DO U COME FROM?

Posted by SYLVIA THOMPSON on 04/01 at 01:05 PM

With all the dog makeup artists and Photoshop work you did, young dogs will have an unrealistic image of canine beauty and will develop eating disorders and emotional problems as they try to…

oops, wrong rant.

Great job on the graphics!  I have a color print of the .pdf on my wall now.  Keep up the good work.

PR Geniuses!

Thank goodness for the truth finally rising to the surface!  Everyone I speak with thinks Humane Society of the United States IS their local animal shelter.  Wrong, wrong, wrong.  Donate locally, not to HSUS unless you want to assist in the end of companion animal ownership.

Too funny, Steve!

Seriously, this is absolutely FABULOUS! Great artwork, great ad!

I just loved the ad…This is great work and I believe it is going to make a big difference with the general public. As these ideas are repeated, and ads viewed over time, the members of the general public begin to wonder…does the HSUS really do anything good for animals???? The truth will sink in…and fewer people will be supporting the HSUS.

Posted by Tragopan on 04/01 at 04:13 PM

Connie. that would be the “end of PET ownership, and not ‘companion ownership’”.  Companion ownership is an PETA term now adopted by ASPCA and HSUS.

STEVE!  Your comment made me spurt coffee on the ‘puter!

I had to get this transformed to a jpg to make it show on my fb page.  Some of the folks in my friends list most likely to donate to HSUS are shocked.  You need to get this into formats easy to share on social networking sites.

Posted by Todd on 04/01 at 08:40 PM

@Todd—Very strange. It’s already in JPG format on the website.

Posted by HumaneWatch on 04/01 at 11:38 PM

This is great!  Not only would a PDF be wonderful, but a banner that we can put on our websites would be perfect!!!

Awesome logo, but I don’t understand the high-heeled shoe. How is that related to animal rights fanaticism?

Posted by Cameron Carnivore on 04/04 at 02:11 PM

@Cameron—Shoes. Leather. Cows.

Thank you for public awareness!  Thought HSUS is to help animals.  From now on I will only donate my time.  Once again, many thanks!

Posted by Mai on 04/05 at 02:56 AM

I posted the image on my fb page.  Here’s a quote from one of my friends:

“I’m on the board of the Windham County Humane Society in Brattleboro, VT and we do not receive ONE DIME from HSUS. And it’s a constant fundraising battle for us b/c people will tell us they gave to HSUS, so that should cover their donation to us and many other Humane Societies. Doesn’t work that way. Our shelter does a really good job and we work very hard to raise the money needed to keep it running. I always try to give locally, not nationally. I’m glad you’re sharing this info.”

HumaneWatch Staff:

Your ads are wonderful and very entertaining (as well as educational).  Is there any way to get a smaller version of the April 1 ad?  I tried to print the ad but it did not come out very well (was chopped) and I also tried to shrink the page to get it to fit.

Thanks again and keep up the good work!
