Hill’s Science Diet Update
Just an update to today's hubbub over pet food.
The Care2 folks aren't big on spelling ("made possibly by …"), but I guess that's what happens when you're in a hurry to cover your tracks.
It certainly looks like someone at Hill's Pet Nutrition asked Care2 to nuke their public support for the Humane Society of the United States. But one reader has sent us evidence that Care2's main HSUS click-to-give page was still sporting a Science Diet logo just a few hours ago.
It's troubling that the Care2 page raising money for HSUS is still up at all, but we suppose that without a "sponsor," it will go the way of the dodo soon enough. Let's keep an eye on this, though.
If you've received anything official from Hill's suggesting that its financial contributions to HSUS are dead and gone, please let me know.
