Mission:

The Ark Trust Inc.'s primary focus was to facilitate extensive and positive coverage of animal issues by major media outlets. Its activities included the Genesis Awards ceremony, which recognizes celebrities and individuals in the media who have promoted animal rights.  

 

On August 21, 2002, the Ark Trust Inc. merged with the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS). All assets and related liabilities were transferred to HSUS at such time. The Genesis Awards are now administrated by HSUS.
