Lindsey Sterling-Krank

Lindsey Sterling-Krank is the director of HSUS's Prairie Dog Protection program, based in Boulder, Colo. She is also the executive director of the Prairie Dog Coalition.

She is aggressively combating efforts by ranchers to remove prairie dogs from their lands. “What’s really needed is changes in the laws so that prairie dogs can be protected where they are,” said Sterling-Krank in December 2009. “Prairie dogs and bison co-existed for thousands of years before we intervened."

Sterling-Krank is a 2000 graduate of the University of Montana.
