Truckin’ 1,300 Miles to Texas
What the heck is a Humane Society of the United States truck with a Maryland license plate doing 1,300 miles away from home?
An alert HumaneWatcher snapped a photo of the vehicle last week in the town of Tyler, Texas. (If you're from that area, it was parked in the lot of the French Quarter Shopping Center.)
Somehow we doubt HSUS employees were there to shop at the local Petland store.
We're left to assume the group is looking to stage some sort of "rescue" that it will use to justify another pet-related legislative push like the one it attempted to get passed in 2009. Time will tell.
