Carol Griglione

Carol Griglione is the Humane Society of the United States's Iowa State Director, overseeing all legislative and lobbying activities in that state. (Click here for HSUS's Iowa-specific Facebook page.) But that appears to be a part-time job.

Griglione is also the senior administrator and executive adviser of Principal Financial Group Inc.'s law department, and President of the Board of Directors at Iowa's largest animal shelter, the Animal Rescue League of Iowa.

According to the Des Moines Business Record, Griglione "has seven cats, three quarter horses, two dogs and 10 pet chickens"—a menagerie that could qualify her as a "hoarder" if she didn't work closely with HSUS and other animal organizations.

Griglione graduated from Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa, and received a Master's Degree in non-profit management from Drake University in Des Moines.
